Teachers from Slovak elementary schools in Nitra are gradually incorporating MIA into their teaching practice. They received training in the Method of Instrumental Awareness courses, which we conducted at Krčméryho Elementary School and Ščasného Elementary School as part of our projects. Educators welcomed the opportunity for supervision from our ATC, which helps them find the optimal approach during MIA lessons and, as a result, improves support for the target group of students. For example, Ms. Petra returned to MIA after a long period of sick leave; she was eager to work with the method, but after such a long break, she needed to get back into the swing of things, build her confidence, and clarify any uncertainties. Inspirational seminars are also used to share experiences and discuss ways to utilize specific aspects of the tools—in the Nitra project, we decided to organize these in the form of “Inspirational Coffee Breaks with MIA.” – If you use MIA at your school or institution, please don’t hesitate to contact us; we’d be happy to organize a supervision session or inspirational seminar for you!
